We are sorry to have to announce that annual subscriptions for the 2022-23 season have been increased. The previous rates were held unchanged for many years (more that twenty!), so we hope that members will not be discouraged from coming by the new rates, which still offer remarkably good value.

2022-23 and Coronavirus
We restarted showings in January 2022. At present the theatre is operating normally, so social distancing is not guaranteed, though of course we ask members to be respectful of the safety of others, and not to come if they have Covid-19 symptoms or a positive test.
To simplify administration and keep costs down, there will be changes from previous practice:
We did not have an AGM during the closed period, but we intend to hold one as usual in November 2022.

Practical Arrangements
Each season normally runs from September to the following March and the films are shown fortnightly early on Sunday evenings.
Since the loss of our much loved Regent Cinema we have operated at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis. We are delighted to be supporting them! We provided a new projector and screen at the Theatre, which are also in use for commercial film screenings. Our thanks to Cinema for All for a grant to help with the new equipment.
The theatre holds 220 people. This sets the limit to our membership - social distancing requirements also need to be applied, which reduces the effective capacity, so we aim to limit membership to about 160 for the time being. Really disappointing, and we look forward to when we can include more people once more.
Please arrive in good time for a 5:30 pm start. Late arrivals will cause inconvenience to other members, and the limit on seating capacity at the Theatre could occasionally require us to close the doors when it is full.
